Candidates for the final two matches.
To me Bascunan, Roldan, Zambrano & Argote seem among the most likely for the final. Roldan already had the gig last year but even as a centenary he could be out. To me it seems Bascunan but both the Chile team and the error of Astroza in BRA-ECU could be pivotal. Argote would be a good choice after a good CHI-PER in 2015. Zambrano to me seems like everything has fallen into place with him, but we'll see. I suspect CONCACAF will for sure have at least a 'Cuarto Arbitro' maybe even Garcia to lead the 3rd/4th match.
Also how was the refereeing, in general terms, in USA compared to in France?
Again apologies for my lack of Spanish
Best Wishes
Harry
Hi
EliminarI have 3 names as likely:
1. Heber Lopes
2. Wilmar Roldán
3. Roddy Zambrano.
Without Chile Bascuñán is out, same as Loustau. Conmebol ensured me the final would be refereed by a Conmebol referee, so no García and clearly no Geiger.
Carrillo was not solid in his matches, and Argote was going to be exclude from the Copa because of poor performance in Atlético Nacional vs Huracán in Libertadores, but he managed to remain -long history-, furthermore with Sánchez in Fedorczuk´s team he is out.
Lopes, his last international year, good performances, he would deserve it, but I don't think Argentina would accept a Brazilian referee.
Roldán, yes, he did it last year, but Amarilla did the same in 2004-2007 Copas, so its possible.
Zambrano, a neutral option, but not as experienced as one would like for this kind of final.
I will be writing a big post to speak of the level of the tournament, but to compair it with UEFA is a bit difficult, will try to do it on that post (maybe a few lines in English, although I don't manage it perfectly). Lets wait for the final and then we could start comparing everything.
Regards!
